Emergency housing support: We can provide contact information or help connect to these non-LP services:
Longer-term / non-emergency: In the search for longer term (non-emergency) accommodation, the Bridge Team may be able to assist with communication. Such as Portuguese translation/mediation, conversations with estate agents/landlords if you have identified suitable housing place and having difficulty progressing the process due to the language barrier.
This support can be accessed by attending the LP anytime we are open and requesting to speak with a member of the "Bridge Team."

Urgent/emergency healthcare: we can give you the following contact information or help you connect to these non-LP services:
Longer-term/ non-emergency : we may be able to provide Bridge Team (Portuguese translation/mediation) support for communications with healthcare professionals if you are having difficulty communicating with SNS/non-LP healthcare professionals due to language.
This support can be accessed by attending the LP anytime we are open and requesting to speak with a member of the "Bridge Team."

We cannot provide financial or food support.

The LP does not directly provide food support but Community Members can be redirected to the organisations listed below to access of these services.
If you find it challenging to contact the organisations, you can attend the LP anytime we are open and request to speak with a member of the "Bridge Team."

We cannot provide immediate legal advice or intervention.
Urgent/emergency legal support: we can give you the following contact information or help you connect to these non-LP services:
Non-emergency situation which may be administrative: The Lisbon Project does not provide direct legal support or representation but our "Bridge Team" can help with administrative issues and they can get advice from a lawyer about whether you do need legal representation or not. If you do not need legal help, the "Bridge Team" can continue to help you navigate the steps you need to take to progress the issue.
We are also - in April 2024 - launching a new information platform called AdminHub which is gathering information about key administrative processes and may help you understanding your paperwork!

If we become aware of a potential situation of child abuse, domestic violence, exploitation/trafficking or any situation of a child or vulnerable adult being harmed, we must alert the Lisbon Project safeguarding team through THIS FORM.
The Lisbon Project does not have the specialist knowledge or expertise to handle these situations itself but we have established relationships with specialist organisations who we would seek to connect you to where needed. Since these situations must be handled with maximum care and sensitivity, we require that all such concerns are escalated to the Safeguarding Team so that we can support or lead communication with you around these issues.
